F80 Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters Certification Course (Online)
The F-80 Certificate of Fitness is required for anyone responsible for fire safety and alarm systems in homeless shelters or any facility with a one-way voice communication system serving over 15 people for more than 30 days. This premise-related certification covers fire safety responsibilities, emergency plans, drills, special assistance needs, alarm systems, sprinklers, standpipes, recordkeeping, and shelter safety. Applicants must be 18+, understand English, provide valid ID, and complete an FDNY-approved training course. A Graduation Diploma, employer verification letter, and F-80 application are required. Certified individuals may oversee up to two shelters and are exempt from the S-95 certificate.
